The Best Osaka Bars

Jan 20 , 2012

Historically known as the commercial center of Japan, Osaka has a busy nightlife like many other cities in Japan and offers a great variety of bars to choose from. The best way to start a night in Osaka before moving on to the nightclubs is a few drinks at the bar. Here are the best bars in Osaka.

The Nest Saloon: This blues bar has a huge following locally in Osaka and some of the best performers just passing through often stop by for a live session. The bar offers amateur night where a lot of young talent can be sampled. The sound is impressive for a bar of its size. Enjoy a drink from a menu with a wide range of selections.

Cinquecento: Known as the best Martini bar in Osaka, Cinquecento also has some of the best food imaginable at any bar. It is the perfect place for those interested in a light snack and a few drinks before heading out to a night club. The dimmed lights add a unique decor to the bar and for those not interested in a martini, there is draft beer on tap.  The Chocolate Martini and Apple Martini are the favorites among visitors.

Gross: This is a more trendy spot than most bars and is relatively small in terms of space. With a different event and performer every night, this is one of the most unique bars in Osaka. The bar offers a young crowd that loves to dance the night away. Enjoy an exotic cocktail made exclusively by some of the best bartenders in the city.

Fubar: This restaurant and bar has two floors and is much larger than many others found in Japan. It is located in the heart of Shinsaibashi. Stop in for a drink from a variety of selections at the bar located downstairs. Sample something from the North American food menu before moving upstairs and enjoy many different live sporting events on the multiple televisions upstairs. A live DJ stops in every Friday and Saturday.

The Blarney Stone: This Irish pub is also located in Shinsaibashi. The food offers the best the Irish have to offer, including fish and chips and Shepherd's Pie. The drink selections offers a variety and many that are Irish favorites such as Guinness and Blackthorn Cider. The atmosphere is casual and the workers are extremely friendly, similar to many of the pubs in Ireland.

After a few drinks, dance the night away at one of Osaka's most popular clubs.
